Make sure you have reservations…. Make sure you’re ready to fight for a table and possibly have your table given up. Very rude and stuck up staff. Worst place on the islands.

Food was good and view was excellent. We had the restaurant order a cab for us with the understanding we wanted to stop on the way back to the resort to pick up wine. Cab driver named Liwigi agreed and then when we arrived at the store told us he would not wait. Paid him 14 dollars for a three minute drive. Had to wait 45 minutes for another cab to take us 3 miles and paid him 14 dollars. Second driver said Liwigi was known for this. Just FYI.

Vegetarians beware. There are many other fabulous restaurants on Provo with outstanding views and friendly service that actually care about you as a guest and are well worth the $$$, don't waste one of your precious evenings of vacation here. My entire party was vegetarian and our entrees were treated as an afterthought and actually came out not what we ordered at all. The waiter did not take the time or care to listen to us as we ordered, despite my confirming the order before he left the table.yep, yep, yep, he replied, but our food came out wrong. My teenage daughters ordered plain pasta because there were no other options that interested them, the portion was about 1.5 cups of plain pasta and we were charged $38 for each "pasta special". This is the second such experience we have had at Magnolia's and while we come for the sunset, it's just not worth $268 plus tip to be eaten alive by mosquitoes and treated with such disregard for our dietary preferences. I can't imagine if my child had an actual allergy, not just a preference, at this establishment, it would be dangerous with their lack of consideration. On a positive note, my daughter accidentally left one of her belongings at the table and it was very kind that the hostess returned it to us upon our departure.

$39 for a minuscule portion, maximum four oz, of the local fish grouper. Grouper sells for about $7.00 for a pound. Total rip-off. Left starving.

Very disappointing! We were the first to arrive and the one waiter working waited on 4 tables before us. We ended up leaving!

It was great to sit outside with drinks and admire the panoramic view and sunset. However, for what it was, the food was expensive and disappointing.

The house focaccio bread basket was sparse and spongey, and little like any focaccio I used to enjoy when living in Milan. The olive oil was thin and bland, and the table salt shaker I reached for was ineffective. My starter (mushroom and goat's cheese millefeuille with pesto sauce) was warm on top but suspiciously chilled at the base, and the pesto overpowered the dish completely. My main course (veal with lemon potato puree and veggies) was an equal let down: the veal was sliced far too thinly such that the only taste and texture that came through were the fried breadcrumbs. The best thing about the dish was the mashed potato with its faint citron message. The accompanying vegetables, however, were indelicately prepared and tasteless. My chocolate and raspberry cake dessert special was more a brownie stodge with no fruit about it.

My wife had Caesar salad, which would have been better with shaved parmesan than grated cheese. There were no croutons - only two cold and hard (rather than crispy) slices of fried focaccio on the side. Her well-done Black Angus tenderloin was "fine" and, if I recall correctly, accompanied by oven-roasted baby potatoes and a tasty jus.

This was our first visit to Magnolia, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, after five years on island - having presumed it was still closed due to the effects of Hurricane Irma. The restaurant is poorly signposted from the main road, and would also do well to reinstate a lighted pathway up from the Turtle Cove bend. In summary, while we may return at some point for drinks, since the view is its unique selling point, we would be very reluctant to dine here again.

Service wasn’t great. Food was ok nothing special. Why I hated this place? From the moment you get in they are doing you a favor that they serve you or taking your order. No smile and no appreciation. When we left and left a lot of $$$ there they didn’t even say thank you and goodbye. Not worth the cab drive and not to mention that they could care less that you are being eaten by the mosquitos.

Based on other reviews, we were really excited to try this place and while ambiance was nice, the food was marginal. We had the chicken spring rolls, seared tuna, and lamb. They were decent but just okay. Everything was "meh". If you can't get in anywhere else, not a bad place to go, but I wouldn't put on any can't miss lists. Not nearly as good as Coco Bistro or even Bay Bistro. Also be prepared for mosquitoes if you're going during rainy season, like November.

I've been giving tons of great reviews on the island but this one gets a 50/50. The owner was super nice I talked to him when I came in and he sat us upstairs by the bar because we are just having a cocktail and an appetizer. The views are amazing which is why they have three stars. Our server did not introduce himself so I do not know his name was not friendly at all. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier problem. My drink was okay my wife got the Mojito and it was fantastic. I ordered the jumbo shrimp off the appetizer menu. It's pictured below. It was very far from jumbo shrimp. I would have been okay with three shrimp if they were jumbo shrimp. I may have been okay with it had they been cooked properly but they were so overcooked they were curled into balls and very chewy. I would not recommend this appetizer dish for anybody. Now with that being said we did not try anything else on the menu in this place may be fantastic.

Mediocre food, no air-conditioning, had to wave flies from food constantly. Steak tasted like it had been frozen, lamb shank had good flavor, but was almost half of the meat was fat. Wine list was very extensive & very pricey. Since nothing was air-conditioned. Did not want to take a risk on improperly stored wine.

The views are amazing. We went there looking for a great local meal. We got this in the grouper but the lobster was grossly overcooked and like rubber. Service was terrible. Felt like they were rushing us out the door. NOBODY was friendly or acted happy to be there. We didn’t know who our server was so we did leave an additional tip on top of the service charge. Very odd experience! I should have listened to the other reviews and ordered the tuna (which is not / local catch). There are so many great restaurants on the island. We won’t be going back.

Beautiful view, nice place for a drink. The food was just average. Service was great, but the owner needs to lighten up on his employees. He was also rude over the phone.

We booked a table on Thanksgiving as we found they serve Turkey and trimmings. When we were served, the whole thing was room temperature, so we had to return for a warm up. It returned to our table well warmed, but somehow dry. Atmosphere is very nice
and other options on the menu seem very attractive

Pleasant restaurant with large outdoor deck dining. Service good but food needs upgrading. Not worth the price.

Delicious food! Loved the seared tuna. The atmosphere is perfect except for the biting bugs after sundown. Service was great too, just shy of five-star service levels.

Great atmosphere and beautiful views. I had the grouper and the wife had the lobster. Both were a little over cooked and under seasoned. Beautiful place to have dinner though.

Wonderful service. Of course beautiful views. I think there is better dinners on the island in terms of food, but not by much.

They didn’t allow my husband to come in with a tank top, but luckily our friend had a hoodie which the restaurant was fine with. Food was decent and the sunset views were killer.

Lovely setting up high with a gorgeous view. Food was very good! Service was a tony bit slow even though there seemed to be plenty of servers but nothing terrible.

Stunning sunset views, great service, just wish the ambiance was a little more vibrant. The restaurant is so quiet you can hear people chewing. The entrees were delicious.
