Hemingway's Restaurant

This is a very pleasant spot in a lovely setting. The staff is welcoming and the service is good. The food is OK, fine but not stellar. I had seared ahi tuna with steamed vegetables and wasabi mashed potatoes. The tuna was fresh and lightly seared, but a bit rubbery. The vegetables were fresh but bland. My companion had vegetable angel hair pasta, which again was fine but not remarkable with dry, bland garlic bread. We're dessert lovers and both the desserts were awful. The key lime pie was not just tart but truly sour, with a concrete crust. The fried ice cream looked lovely but was truly disappointing with a soggy flavorless crust. Both desserts tasted like they'd been prepared and sent frozen from an industrial food plant somewhere far away. Definitely go for the atmosphere rather than the food.

This place had the best fish and chips we have ever had. Had to go back twice to have it again! Awesome service and great view. Highly recommend!

I always dine at Hemingways because of the food and atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. My favorite selection from the lunch menu is the fish taco. I dine there a few months back for my daughter birthday and the food was absolutely amazing.

Fantastic spot - great bar, lovely seating for dining and a wonderful view. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is always great - relaxed, vibrant, friendly. Well worth a visit.

We got married and had our wedding dinner here and it was beautiful. That was 15 years ago, we returned for our 15th anniversary and it was spectacular! The staff is awesome and the food is amazing! A must for dining when you visit TCI!

This was second visit here. This time, just grabbed desserts to go. Definitely a must see restaurant in TCI!

Really good food and big portions. Me and husband shared a meal here and we would come again.

Really bad service. Several people saw us at the hostess stand, waiting for someone to greet us. They just ignored us. My husband finally asked if we are supposed to seat ourselves and we get a "yeah". Alright then.it went down hill from there. We ended up leaving before we could even order.it was that difficult. Very rude service and poor attitudes.

Great beach front restaurant. Had a delicious breakfast here, huevos rancheros la tequila. The tequila salsa was amazing! The service was great and very nice atmosphere. Drinks are fantastic too!

Food was great! Kids menu has good selections. Wonderful atmosphere & right on the beach!

Came to the restaurant because of the photos and the vibe in the travel book. We were told the upstairs tables outside overlooking the water were reservations only. Fine. But we were sat behind a pole inside. I think because me and my partner are younger looking things are assumed. But really behind a pole -. -. We couldn't see anything and could only hear the bartenders constantly making drinks. We decided to just have a drink and dessert today. Service was slow on both. My partner had key lime pie he said it seemed frozen and thawed out for the night. I had deep fried ice cream or was good not great. Bills took too long to get to us. So all in all a 3 wasn't great. Wouldn't go back even if I stayed at the resort

Had the conch tri platter and was excellent. The conch fingers look like calamar but much better. Hush puppies were excellent also. Conch salad was ok. A large portion and I had it as a meal. My wife had the chicken. She said it was a little plain, I thought it was fine. Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will come again.

Great food. Better than the more expensive Grace Cottage. Great brownie ice cream dessert! The Pina Collada is awesome.

Great spot for lunch and likely evenings. Lunch menu was good and both our dish choices - friend chicken and fish tacos were excellent. Frozen margarita was good too. Perfect for the hot weather.

Ordered the conch trio and spinach salad with fish. Great service. Reasonable prices. Fresh good food. Great location on the Beach.

I never published reviews but in this case I was compelled by the disappointment. Beautiful restaurant with good service, however food is sincerely terrible. We ordered a conch soup that was flavorless, a salad garden with a bitter balsamic vinaigrette, a curry lobster that was bland and poorly presented and a grouper that was again flat and with mashed potatoes that were cold. The bummer came from the fact that the general reviews were good and it was supposed to be one of the best restaurants in the island.

So nice we ate there twice! Grouper and lobster were are favorites. Carolyn and Terry have this place dialed!

Recommended highly. Grab reservations though.

Great meal, nice menu, real burning lanterns on tables, great beach dining, with live music this evening.
